BEAUTIFUL GIRLS

I watched the film Beautiful Girls this weekend starring Matt Dillon and Timothy Hutton. A young Natalie Portman also stars. A random side plot has to do with the foreshadowing of Portman being the perfect woman when she is full grown, and SURPRISE, she totally is. I mean, she's obviously a dork, but to me, that's only an enhancement in her ultimate female perfection. But this is not what I came to talk about! I actually wanted to share with you one of the best things I've seen in a while...or maybe ever. The movie as a whole can take a backseat to the incredible delivery of this monologue by Rosie O'Donnell...Rosie in the nineties? Sleepless in Seattle? A League of Their Own? OH, she was GOOOOOOD.

"God doesn't fuck around. He's a fair guy." I can't stop watching this. She MEANS it.
